You received mail from us
We are asset recovery specialists. We believe we have found unclaimed money being held in your name by a court or government agency.
We know how this looks arriving unannounced. Before anything else: we never ask for your Social Security number, we never ask you to pay us anything, and you can tell us to stop contacting you at any time.
Check us first
Do this before you send us anything. We would rather you checked than took our word for it.
Accredited since 2012 with an A+ rating, and the business has been running since 2011. Here is our profile. Better still, search bbb.org for Cashfinders "R" Us yourself rather than trusting a link from anyone, including us.
We are a member of RightfulOwnerProject.org, an industry body for asset recovery firms.
Our toll free line is (888) 844-0772. If a letter you received lists a different number, call ours instead and ask about it.
No Social Security number. No bank login. No upfront payment, fee, deposit or "release charge" of any kind. Anyone asking you for those is not us.
Where the money comes from
Sources include unclaimed inheritance, probate and estate funds, property taken through condemnation or eminent domain, unclaimed tax refunds, partitions, overages, and unpaid judgment or lien payments.
The common thread is that a process finished and nobody collected. Records go stale, people move, families lose touch, and the money stays on a ledger nobody reads.
Our incentive
We recover the funds from the holder, buy you out upfront, and make our margin in the process. Our offer reflects the risk that we recover nothing, the time it will take, and what the work costs us.
Finding, researching and retrieving these funds is not cheap. We take on those costs ourselves because we do this every day and we are good at it. That is the whole business model, and there is nothing hidden underneath it.
Common questions
The smallest claim we pursue is $1,000. Below that the cost of recovery exceeds the recovery.
We work on a contingency basis, so we are paid from what is recovered rather than billed to you.
Establishing that is part of the research. We know the amount exceeds $1,000 or the record would not have reached us, but pinning down the holder means putting questions to several agencies.
We also need to confirm no outstanding debt against you would intercept the funds before they reach you.
Claiming and recovering usually takes 60 to 90 days, sometimes longer where there are complications. We do not get paid until you have been paid, and we will keep you informed throughout.
No. We pay all costs and we never bill you. There is no charge at any stage.
Often, and sometimes a short one. Where funds go unclaimed past a statutory window they can revert permanently to the body holding them.
That is your decision and we respect it. If we cannot come to terms, we part ways.
If you would also like us to stop contacting you, tell us and we will remove you from our lists.
Send us your details and we will confirm what we have found. Nothing is filed and nothing is owed until you have our terms in writing and have agreed to them.
